A Private Members’ Bill to extend copyright term for sound recordings has had its first reading in the House of Commons. The Bill, which was introduced by Pete Wisehart MP seeks to extend the term of copyright for sound recordings beyond 50 years. Its second reading is scheduled for 7 March 2008.
